Ernest Lee FCG HKFCG(PE) is a Technical Partner of Deloitte China. Mr Lee serves some of the largest audit engagements of the Firm. With extensive experience in the accounting profession, he provides valuable technical advice on matters related to accounting, auditing and governance for companies in various industries in Hong Kong, Mainland China and the Asia-Pacific area. He is a CPA (Practising) and a Fellow of the ICAEW and ACCA. Mr Lee is the President of The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI). Before elected as President, he was a Vice-President of HKCGI and the Chairman of the Institute's Audit Committee. He has also served on various committees and sub-committees of HKCGI since 2008 including acting as the Institute's Treasurer, the Vice-Chairman of the Education Committee and the Vice-Chairman of the Membership Committee. He is currently a member of the Institute's Mainland China Affairs Committee, and represents the Institute on the Services Advisory Committee of the Official Receiver's Office. He is also a member of the Steering Committee of Asian Financial Forum 2024. In addition, Mr Lee actively contributes to setting financial reporting standards locally and internationally. He is the Immediate Past Chairman (2019-2021) of the Financial Reporting Standards Committee (FRSC) of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). The Committee is responsible for setting financial reporting standards in Hong Kong. During his tenure as the FRSC Chairman, he represented the HKICPA on many international and regional meetings on standard setting. Also, he has been a member of various HKICPA’s Advisory Panels on financial reporting matters, including the Companies Ordinance (Financial Reporting) Advisory Panel, for a number of years. He is currently a member of HKICPA’s Sustainability Advisory Panel. For more than 10 years, he served on the Review Panel for the HKICPA’s Best Corporate Governance Disclosure Awards and provided technical support to the HKICPA’s Professional Standards Monitoring Panel. He also provided technical support to the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council (AFRC) on its Risk-Based Financial Statements Review Programme. He is currently a member of the Financial Reporting Review Panel of the AFRC. As an advocate of education, Mr Lee is a Professional Advisor to the Executive Master of Accounting programme of Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. | ||

Edith Shih FCG(CS, CGP) HKFCG(CS, CGP)(PE) is Executive Director and Company Secretary of CK Hutchison Holdings Limited, a Fortune 500 company with operations in over 50 countries. Ms Shih has been with the CK Hutchison Group for over 30 years, overseeing legal, regulatory, corporate finance and compliance matters of the Group. Ms Shih is a Past International President and member of the Council of The Chartered Governance Institute (CGI), and a Past President and Honorary Adviser of The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI), currently also its Nomination Committee Chairman. Ms Shih holds Bachelor and Master’s degrees from the University of the Philippines and Master’s degrees from Columbia University, New York. She is qualified to practice law in England and Wales, Hong Kong, and Victoria, Australia. She is in addition a Fellow of CGI and HKCGI with both Chartered Secretary and Chartered Governance Professional designations, holding a Practitioner's Endorsement issued by HKCGI. Gill Meller FCG HKFCG(PE) is MTR Corporation Limited’s Legal and Governance Director. Ms Meller is responsible for overseeing the Company’s legal, company secretarial, insurance and risk management functions and a central procurement and supply chain function. She is also responsible for leading the Company’s assurance function with the aim of providing a strengthened second line of defence across key risk areas of the Company and for leading MTR’s overall ESG strategy. Ms Meller graduated from Hertford College, University of Oxford and obtained her postgraduate qualifications in law from The College of Law in the United Kingdom. Mohan Datwani FCG HKFCG(PE) was an owner of a renowned US international law firm, where he was responsible for initiating a book, carrying out management duties, and engaging in transactional, advisory, and litigation work in Hong Kong and the US with his team. His work included investigating into, unraveling, and obtaining a multibillion-dollar judgment in an international fraud case among other market transactions involving non-performing loan portfolio sales and major infrastructure and real estate development projects. Mr Datwani joined a client as general counsel and senior management of a publicly traded firm. He managed multi-national operations, including governance and cultural challenges. He then made the decision to promote good governance based on his practical experiences, business acumen, and legal knowledge. He is currently the Deputy Chief Executive of The Hong Kong Chartered Governance Institute (HKCGI) to represent Chartered Secretaries and Chartered Governance Professionals in Hong Kong and China. In addition to his day-to-day managerial duties at HKCGI, Mr Datwani, a thought leader, develops practical advice and conducts research to advance good governance. Additionally, as a member of the global governance profession, he collaborates with CGI, where HKCGI originates, on research projects and makes contributions to global thought leadership initiatives. In order to offer viewpoints on law, governance, and management in the public sector, Mr Datwani also served on a number of government boards. He was honoured as a Director of the Year (2018) by the Hong Kong Institute of Directors for his efforts with the Equal Opportunities Commission. |
